Summer iphone dump

This needs no explanation other than, I was super lazy about using my big camera this summer and just downloaded 197 pictures from my iphone since July 29!  REALLY?!  I will spare you the majority and just give you the BEST of our summer!

I went upstairs one day and found Sterling making his bed!  It may not be perfect, but he did it without asking and was super proud of himself!
 Hudson wanted a picture too!
Hudson isn't always as excited about pictures as his brother is!  He's telling me, "NOOOOOOOO!"
 Date night at the pool

Hudson likes a large number of anything, shoes, candy, clothes, toys, and cups?!
One of Sterling's many Lego creations.  He likes for me to take pictures of each one
Fried chicken from Eischen's Bar, the oldest bar in Oklahoma!  And, if you're in OKC in the future you should definitely try this out, but make sure you go at an odd time of day, otherwise you'll wait for quite awhile!
Sterling loved it!  He ate 3 pieces of fried chicken, these aren't little chickens folks!
Of course, Channing had to get a picture with Wade, and Hudson tried to photo bomb!

It had started cooling off here, so we enjoyed the paper/comics and coffee/hot chocolate one morning
 Cantaloupes from our garden!
Labor we went to Granbury to visit Grandee and Papa and enjoyed some 'smores

 More
 LEGO
 CREATIONS
Sterling chose a drawing book at the library and these are some of his drawings, a haunted house!  I couldn't believe it, he really is talented.  I love the details too of the skeleton tiptoeing and the bat upside down!
 1st OU game

Sterling singing karaoke with some girls at the neighborhood picnic
We've had a few soccer games, and Sterling has made numerous goals this season!

Daddy fixed a good mohawk, before we got a haircut....a little too short, but it will grow back!
Our ants for the ant farm finally arrived, but only lasted 2 days....I didn't read all the directions and they have to fed, imagine that!!!
Sterling had a sleepover at a friend's house and Hudson got to go to another OU with is friend, Cooper!  They had a blast and so did I talking about the game with them!

We've been busy and with the holidays around the corner, I know we're about to get even busier!  Thank goodness for iphones!

California through the iPhone

While I love my big camera, sometimes it's just easier to snap a few pictures with your phone.  This happened a lot while we were in California, especially at the beach and were some of my favorite pictures!
Hudson wasn't too fond of the engine noise on the plane at first, but it lulled him to sleep for an hour, which was nice!
We were a little chilly when we first got there

 Settled into our rental car

Boogey boarding on the beach!

Our first day at the beach!  Sterling was born to be a beach baby and I would not be surprised if he moved to California as soon as he could!  He loves everything about it!

The boys LOVE Mary and John and their dog Deanie, they were all on one side of the couch and Wade and I were on the other, all along!

Sterling is not afraid of heights!  He had no problem jumping off the high dive at least 20 times!  And, check out that view!

Wade and Sterling in Star Tours and Hudson driving the Autotopia cars, all by himself!

Sterling didn't LOVE Space Mountain, as you can tell by the picture, but I don't think he HATED it either!  Hudson made it almost the whole day!
We went and met 2 of Wade's friends from high school in Santa Monica one evening and Mark let Sterling play a new game on his iPhone.  Mark works for a video games company and he's working on Skylander Cloud Patrol, Sterling's new favorite phone game!  They also make Xbox 360 games!  Check it out!
How sweet are they?!  They were sleeping so soundly and sweetly, that we scooped them up and put them in the car before they even knew we were going any where!

Hudson fell asleep in line, so John came to our rescue!

On our way to the airport we stopped by the Taco Trucks and got some lunch!  Fiji water was passing out free water and these awesome sunglasses!  His Hudson playing the part of California dude, or what?!

Unfortunately, our flight to DFW was cancelled, but we waited on the airplane for an hour to get the official word.  The boys were troopers and we ended up having to spend an extra night in CA!
2 days later we arrived home and Hudson was REALLY happy!  It still took us another to get our car seats and 1 bag, so we were exhausted, but home!

Cali Adventures

We had many adventures while in California, but one of our favorite surprises was vising our friend, David at his art studio in Venice!  David let the boys use all of his special paints and paint brushes to create their own masterpieces!

On our way to the airport we stopped by the La Brea Tar Pits!  It was a rather HOT day for California, but the tar pits were worth checking out!

We learned so many things, like there are no dinosaurs at the tar pits, they lived WAY before the tar pits existed!  Sterling was a little disappointed because we had been telling him all week it was where dinosaurs were buried!  OOPS!

the tar actually bubbles, but it's not hot!

This is an actual excavation site in tar!

Next time, we'll have to go inside the museum to learn even more!
