We have had so much fun with our Zoo Friends zoo passes over the last year. To top it off we were invited to attend a special “behind the scenes” look at the zoo. It was so cool. I think I liked it more than Sterling. Wade was out of town, so it was just me and the boys. We started off with the elephants and they showed us how they groom their feet. Apparently, elephant’s feet need a lot of work and they work on them everyday. I never realized what all happened behind the zoo. That area was as big as the zoo. Here are some pictures of our tour!
Sterling had to wear his rain boots because it was a little “sprinkly” but also thought he needed his sunglasses.

There was a refreshment stop where they had animal crackers(what else?), popsicles & drinks for everyone. The kids also were able to draw on the tables, Sterling could have stayed here all day.
We loved the animal hospital, although Sterling was very disappointed he did not get to see any sick animals.
