All Day

Well...there are some perks to living in East Texas and we enjoyed one of them on Saturday.  ADRIAN PETERSON APPRECIATION DAY in Palestine, Texas.  We weren't really sure what to expect, but figured what the heck!  There aren't many OU representatives in E. Texas, so we decided to hop in the car.  It's only about an hour drive from Tyler and it was a great excuse to not have to work around the house!

They had a ton for all the kids to do and Sterling loved this slide!  There he is at the top
There he is (behind the guy in black) - he pulled up in a purple and yellow car!  Sterling really wanted to ride the train you see in the background so I have a feeling we'll be going back.
This was one of the best parts, I just wish the picture was better.  Young Cilla sang rapped a song he wrote called All Day about AD.  Unfortunately, we weren't able to snag one of his CDs he was passing out, but we've been on the lookout on You Tube so we can share it's greatness with all of you!
Muscle Milk, one of AD's sponsors, was there handing out free samples.  Hudson enjoyed Banana Creme and Sterling's favorite was Chocolate.  I'm usually not a fan of these types of drinks, but I highly recommend these and they have lots of different flavors
Hudson loved these streamers
YEA!!!!!!!!!!
This is AD with the track team, All Day Track, that he sponsors in Palestine.  On a side note, we even got our own "AD Knows" shirts from Nike!
The FUTURE of OU - This guy will be a Senior at Whitehouse HS (here in Tyler!) and has committed to OU - AD is giving him some advice
enjoying a sno cone (it was S week)
So sad to be leaving!
He really was sad to leave AD because we told him he was going to meet him and get his picture taken.  Naptime was approaching (obviously) and there were more people there than we expected so we opted out on waiting in line.  Heck, this was the 4th Annual Adrian Peterson Appreciation Day, so I'm sure there will be many more in the future!

  1. I think I might have cried too, Ster! To be so close to AD must have been cool. Fun day!
